Note:

For best results, especially for screens larger than 65", we recommend you hire a professional window film installer. To find one near you go to this website:

Warnings:

1. Avoid injury – unplug your TV prior to application, don’t just turn off the screen

2. Avoid water damage to your TV – carefully tape the screen edges with painter’s masking tape before application

3. Avoid TV screen damage – do not hit or scratch the surface with hard objects, do not push hard against the screen

4. Avoid screen protector damage – handle film with care: do not fold, crease, twist or stretch

Your application kit includes:

  •         One roll of waterproof masking tape
  •         Two pairs of disposable gloves
  •         One lint-free soft cloth
  •         One mini-bottle of Johnson's Baby Shampoo                              (you will need a large spray bottle)
  •         One squeegee

BEFORE APPLYING YOUR SCREEN PROTECTOR

  • Clean your screen with the soft cloth provided – if your screen is especially dirty, use commercially available cleaning products

  • Using the painter's masking tape provided, tape over the inner edges of your screen 1/8” to cover the line where the bezel meets the screen. Run your fingernail gently over the tape along the groove to create a water-tight seal. Do NOT spray any water onto your screen without completely sealing the edges first. Sun Innovations, Inc. is not responsible for any damage to you or your TV caused by the application of your GloPointer screen protector.

  • Check the size of your screen protector before removing the paper backing. Unroll and flatten it against the TV screen all the way to the edges. The film should cover the screen but not overlap the tape. If the film is too big, either return it to Sun Innovations, Inc. or trim with scissors (after carefully drawing a line on the paper backing with a ruler or yardstick to get a straight edge). No returns are accepted if the paper backing has been removed

  •  Wipe the screen again with the soft cloth to remove any remaining dust

  • Spray the entire screen thoroughly with the soapy water solution - Get a medium size spray bottle, fill with water, add 2-3 drops of the Johnson's Baby Shampoo provided, shake to mix.

FILM INSTALLATION:

  • Remove paper backing - Put on disposable gloves. One person should hold the film and the other should position it onto the screen moving from the left side to the right. Start by peeling back one third of the paper and positioning the smooth underside of the film onto the wet surface, aligning the top and bottom corners - do not overlap onto the tape. Press out large bubbles and wrinkles with your hands. Slowly roll out one third more of the film and repeat, spraying more water as you go. If the film gets out of alignment, just pull it up, re-spray and reposition. Once the second third of the film is in place, pull off the remaining paper and press the film onto the screen. Make final adjustments.

  • Squeegee out the bubbles - After pressing out the large bubbles and wrinkles with your hands, use the squeegee to remove the smaller bubbles. Starting in the center of the screen, scrape gently outwards in a starburst pattern. Use only the flat part of the squeegee because the hard edges can scratch the film. Keep scraping outwards until all the bubbles and moisture is pressed out. If small bubbles remain, peel back the film in that area, spray well and squeegee again.

  • Dry off all water - Using a dry cloth, wipe all the edges, over the tape and around the entire frame until the TV is completely dry. Remove the masking tape. Run a dry cloth around the edges again. Plug in your TV.
